Doughboy:Assault Released!

Two days ago, we released Doughboy:Assault, the dual tower defense game, to the world. It’s unusual in that, while it is technically a member of the tower defense genre, it requires two players, involves attacking as well as defending (although defense is still at the heart of the game), and is more challenging, strategically, than most other TD games. Anyways, enough of the marketing- you can find that on the main website.

Since this devblog was released at the same time as the game (in retrospect, this may not have been such a good idea), we plan for most of the posts to be about the philosophy, design, and development of the game, looking back. This could include things like our original design for Doughboy:Assault, the art and music development, bugs that came up during programming, the release history, or how many caffeinated beverages were consumed during development (spoiler: 149).

Anyways, we hope that you, the reader, will find things in this devblog that will help you in some aspect, whether you are a gamer, an artist, or a fellow indie developer.
